The Ministry of Finance (Ato Ahmed Shide) has announced that the new salary for government employees, who have been waiting for a final decision since September, will start from October.

“It will be implemented for low-paid government employees, members of the security establishment; and government institutions at all levels, both regional and federal,” he said.
“This will be implemented throughout the country.” “The regional governments will also send the salaries of their employees/salaries to the regions through the Ministry of Finance, with the regional share being covered by the federal government from October onwards,” he said.
